Welcome back,

I hope all of you have had a restful summer filled with family, unforgettable positive memories and excitement. Below, please find updates and information that will provide a quick overview of our 2019 – 2020 school year. Please be reminded that the first day of school is September 3, 2019. Classes begin at 8:15am.

New Staff: As you know, we are in the eighth year of constant growth as a school, and as we increase our student population we are fortunate enough to hire new staff to accommodate our growth. Please welcome our new lower school staff: Aloma Ukaegbu and Genesis Colon (Math); Deborah Barkley and Nicholas Smith (Science); Lea Kleinman (Humanities) and Alyse Bacine (Counselor). Our Upper school also has several new staff members, Christina D’Emma (English); Timothy Payne (Math) and Evan Cunah (Study Skills).

Managing a school of this size and the added pressure of continual growth takes a “herculean’ effort from our entire community. We are delighted to welcome our new Assistant Principal, Sheree Howard to our family. We also welcome back Gabe Kuriloff, who joined us in the Spring of 2019 as additional administrative support.

Calendar: All school activities will be on our website. Please make sure that you check the website for school activities.

Volunteering: If you would like to volunteer at school or go on field trips you must have State Police clearances and Child Line clearance. There is an additional step you need to complete each. Please see the links to the clearance forms and training information below.

· PA State Police Clearance

· Child Line Clearance

· SDP Volunteer Training

School Supply List: Please see our school supply list here.

Home and School: Please sign up for the Home and School Association. The H&S provides much needed funding for many opportunities for our community. Please email hsapresident@slabeeber.org and continue to give generously to our community.

We look forward to seeing your children on September 3. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.

Warmly,

Chris
