Last night we welcomed our incoming Class of 2022 at New Family Night! Parents and students learned about academics, met with sports and clubs and sat with our principal. Everyone is looking forward to coming together again in August.

Some information from last night:

Summer Institute will be held at our Campus on August 22-23 from 9 am – 12 pm. This is different than what was written in our packet. This is for students only to meet their advisor and be introduced to our core values and building.

English Summer Reading is required for all students. Incoming ninth graders must read one of the following books: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (Sherman Alexie), Everyday (David Levithan), or The House of the Scorpion (Nancy Farmer). More information can be found in the New Family Night Packet.

Math and Spanish placement tests were given last night. If your child is currently taking Algebra 1 please have their current math teacher fill out the recommendation at bit.ly/slabmath to help guide the team in their decision making.

Thanks to all the parents and current students who were here to welcome our new family.
